Exhibits Schedule
Move–Out Information
The following information will assist you in the outbound shipment of your freight.
Is all my outbound shipping automatic? Do I have to confirm with a trucking company?
Exhibiting companies must confirm with their carriers on pick–up dates for outbound shipping. It is not an automatic service. Exhibiting companies can select any carrier. GES Logistics representatives will be available at the Exhibitor ServicenterSM on Monday, January 14, to assist you with your outbound shipping arrangements.
Rate schedules for services and delivery date information will be available from the above company representatives. If you are using a carrier who is represented on–site, confirmation can be provided on–site on Monday, January 14 when turning in your outbound bill of lading.
A BILL OF LADING MUST ACCOMPANY ALL SHIPMENTS. Outbound bills of lading and shipping labels are available at the GES ServicenterSM. ALL OUTBOUND BILLS OF LADING MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE EXHIBITOR ServicenterSM ONCE YOUR SHIPMENTS ARE PACKED, LABELED AND READY TO BE LOADED. DO NOT LEAVE BILLS OF LADING IN YOUR BOOTH! Shipping is not automatic and you must make arrangements at the Exhibitor ServicenterSM. If you do not know who is picking up your shipment, do not assume it has been arranged for.
Note: GES will not accept bills of lading prior to the close of the exhibits. Please do not attempt to turn in your bill prior to 2:00pm and make travel plans accordingly.
What if I just have a small load and will be picking it up with my own vehicle?
Cars, station wagons, and pick–up trucks will be loaded at a specified POV (Privately Owned Vehicle) dock. These vehicles still need to check in at the GES Marshaling Yard before being sent to the POV dock for loading. Note: POVs will NOT be allowed near the building until after the show closes.
What if one of my company representatives is going to carry something out of the building?
Product Release Forms are required for all carry–outs. Product Release Form information and “check point” locations will be provided via additional dismantling instruction which will be delivered to your booth during Show days. Forms can be obtained beginning at 1:00pm Monday, January 14 at the Show Security Office.
Exhibitors may remove hand carried items at 2:00pm on Monday, January 14 (accompanied by product release forms) but only those items which can be hand–carried in one trip, by one individual. NO hand truck, cart, dolly or equipment on wheels may be used.
Anyone caught removing another’s property from the building is subject to prosecution. Exhibitors are urged not to give away their products to visitors, other exhibitors, models, or workmen. This causes embarrassing delays and unnecessary confusion. Treat release forms as cash. If they get into the wrong hands they can be used fraudulently.
Liability and Insurance for Exhibitor Materials is the responsibility of the exhibitor. TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO SAFEGUARD YOUR DISPLAY AND PRODUCTS AT THE CLOSE OF THE SHOW. This timeframe is crucial for security. Be sure you make all arrangements for your outbound shipping prior to leaving the show floor.
I still have a few questions, who can I call?
If there is additional information you require or you don’t know who to call, please contact the GES Exhibitor Services department at 800/475–2098.
NOTE: EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PRODUCTS AND DISPLAY UNTIL LOADED ONTO OUTBOUND CARRIERS.
