Exhibiting Company Name–Booth #The recently published (January 2008) white paper, An Inconvenient Booth: The Economic Impact of The Green Movement on the Trade Show Industry, revealed the extent to which corporate exhibitors and industry suppliers have embraced green and sustainable practices. This study benchmarks the dynamics of the Green trend including interest levels, budget commitment, the impact of corporate Green mandates, barriers to adoption, price sensitivity, financial and competitive implications, and perceived availability of environmentally sensitive exhibit and event solutions.
The 43-page full research report, with additional detail and analysis by industry, gender, age, title, and company size, is now available for immediate download at no cost. For a quicker read, the 17-page Executive Summary white paper is also available.
The first in a series of ongoing research efforts, the study, conducted by an independent research firm, is based on an extensive survey of nearly 500 exhibit managers and executives at companies that supply exhibit displays and accessories. It was funded by Hall-Erickson Exposition Management, Inc., Champion Nationwide Contractor, eco-systems sustainable exhibits, EXHIBITOR magazine, Freeman, and Skyline.
Attendees at the 2009 American Library Association Annual Conference will make a concerted effort to participate in a “green” meeting that makes a minimal environmental impact. We would like to identify exhibiting companies that join ALA in their efforts to promote a “green” meeting. Please complete the attached form and return it to us. Exhibitors who are identified as promoting Green Practices will be identified on-site in Chicago with a “green” sign for their booth, as well as a “green” icon in the Final Program.
