Meet the Authors

ALA offers many ways to promote the appearance of authors in your booth. Scheduled appearances by authors, illustrators and celebrities can be scheduled anytime during the exhibit hours. The Annual Conference Program will feature a special section listing celebrity appearances. To include your Authors/Illustrators please complete the following form by April 18, 2008.

You may want to supplement the program listing by posting a sign at your exhibit announcing the appearance schedules of your guests. Publishers are encouraged to make celebrities’ books available for autographs and distribution. For exhibitors who want to avoid scheduling guest appearances at the same time as major programs of the American Library Association, check the “Conference Preview” in the April Issue of American Libraries.

You can schedule your “Meet the Authors” session at the 2008 ALA Annual Conference during any of our exhibit hours using the form below.

Saturday, June 28-Monday, June 30, 9:00 am-5:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 8:00 am-Noon

To submit authors and illustrators to be listed in the “Meet the Authors” section of the Exhibit Guide Book, please download this excel spreadsheet form, and for each author/illustrator, include their name, whether they are an author or illustrator, the day and time of the signing, and the book they will be signing, along with your contact information.
